Diagnostic Audiology

Our audiologists will accurately measure the type and degree of your hearing loss, with a comprehensive diagnostic hearing test assessing the outer, middle and inner ear systems.
With this information, they are able to recommend appropriate management, or refer you on to the necessary health care professional.

Pediatric Audiology

Pediatric audiology is a type of healthcare offered to both infants and young children who are experiencing hearing problems or sound recognition issues.
Identifying hearing problems early in a child's life is essential for normal speech and language development, as well as social development.

Electrophysiological Testing

Clinical Electrophysiological Testing is based on techniques borrowed from electrophysiology used for the clinical diagnosis of patients.
There are many processes that occur in the body which produce electrical signals that can be detected.

Neonatal Hearing Screening

Hearing screening is a basic 10 – 15 minute hearing test to indicate whether a person might have a hearing loss.

Medical Legal Audiology

We have built a reputable reputation working with many medico-legal cases and providing highly professional and accurate audiological reports.
We also work with expert ENTs and other specialists in the medico-legal field.

Some of the medico-legal audiological services that we offer are:

  • Hearing testing,
  • including pure tone audiograms,
  • immittance,
  • otoacoustic emissions,
  • speech audiometry

Industrial Audiology

An Acoustic Engineer measures the levels of noise that workers are exposed to each day.
Armed with this information, the Industrial Audiologist determines which employees are most at risk for hearing loss, and what sorts of tests to use to spot hearing loss in vulnerable employees.

Balance Function Tests (VNG)

The VNG is a test of the inner ear and portions of the brain.
The VNG can help your doctor understand the cause of your dizziness or balance problem.
The test requires cooperation on your part to be successful. It is important that you feel well rested for the test.

Voice Therapy

Voice therapy is a program designed to reduce hoarseness through guided change in vocal behaviors and lifestyle changes.
Voice therapy consists of a variety of tasks designed to eliminate harmful vocal behavior, shape healthy vocal behavior, and assist in vocal fold wound healing after surgery or injury.

Tinnitus Evaluation & Management

Out team obtained training in the diagnosis, management and treatment of tinnitus, internationally.
She uses a well-researched and personally designed habituation program to help each individual patient reduce their perception of tinnitus.
This program encompasses elements of Tinnitus Retraining Therapy (TRT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT).

Vertigo is a symptom, rather than a condition itself. It's the sensation that you, or the environment around you, is moving or spinning.
This feeling may be barely noticeable, or it may be so severe that you find it difficult to keep your balance and do everyday tasks.

Here are some common vertigo causes:

  • Migraine headaches.
  • Certain medications.
  • Stroke.
  • Arrhythmia.
  • Diabetes.
  • Head injuries.
  • Prolonged bed rest.
  • Shingles in or near the ear.

Hearing Protection / Noise Protection

Hearing protection is used to reduce (attenuate) noise reaching the wearer's ear, and so reduce the risk of hearing damage from excessive noise.
The effectiveness of hearing protection is often limited by personal and workplace factors, and it can reduce the audibility of warning sounds

Swimming Plugs

What ear plugs do swimmers use?
The first of two types of silicone earplugs for swimmers are these ones.
The good thing about them is that they are pre-molded, meaning you can wash them after use and get a lot of mileage out of them.

Sleeping Plugs

Do ear plugs work for sleeping?

Sleeping with earplugs can significantly improve the quality of your sleep.
For many people, earplugs are the only way to block out sounds while they sleep, such as noise from a nearby freeway or a snoring partner.
This is significant because the quality of your sleep matters just as much as the amount you get.
