About Us
Dr Meerash Ramsammy is a Specialist Neurosurgeon. He trained at the University of Pretoria and has completed a Masters degree in Neurosurgery as well as obtained a degree in Neurosurgery from the College of Medicine of South Africa. Further more Dr. Ramsammy has completed an additional qualification, that being a Fellowship in Neuro-Oncology under the mentorship of a world renowned Professor. Dr Ramsammy constantly refreshes his skill and continuously incorporates the latest advances in Neuroscience into his practice, while still remaining grounded within the basics of neurosurgery through his mentoring and lecturing of various young, up and coming neurosurgeons in the field. Neurology deals with the diagnosis and treatment of all categories of conditions and disease involving the central and peripheral nervous systems, including their coverings, blood vessels and all effector tissue, such as muscle.

Neurosurgery may be the at the forefront of medical science but much still needs to be understood. Every human being is unique and thus each patient deserves to be treated as a unique individual. Dr Ramsammy welcomes multiple surgical opinions and will on his own request opinions from esteemed colleagues in various cases to ensure the best treatment regimen for his patients. Apart from the surgical team, Celestial Neuro incorporates a multifaceted approach in healing involving speech therapists, dietitians, occupational therapists, psychologists and physiotherapists to ensure the best environment for a good recovery.
