About Us

At Seed to Sprout Dietitians, we are passionate about the transformative power of nutrition. Just like nurturing a seed to grow into a vibrant sprout, we believe in providing the right conditions and guidance for individuals to flourish and reach their full health potential.

Your dietary goals are unique, and so are your needs. We’re here to tailor a plan specifically for you because what you eat is more than just fuel – it shapes your health in countless ways. Nutrition isn’t just about weight; it’s intricately linked to various diseases, and the right choices can make a world of difference. Let’s embark on a journey to better health through individualized nutrition.

Maylene holds a BSc in Dietetics from North West University, Potchefstroom, where she graduated third in her class, with distinction. Driven by her passion for research, she pursued an MSc in Dietetics, focusing on the dietary inflammatory index and cardiovascular disease, which she completed with distinction.

During her community service at Standerton Hospital, she gained extensive experience in medical, surgical, paediatric, and neonatal nutrition. She later transitioned into private practice, establishing her own practice.

Specializing in endocrine disorders such as diabetes, thyroid disease, and cardiovascular conditions, Maylene is currently pursuing a PhD in Dietetics, exploring the impact of diet on cardiovascular disease. She is dedicated to evidence-based nutrition and strives to provide the best care for her patients.
