About Us
Dr Pieter Snyman & Dr Gerhard Janse van Rensburg are Paediatricians based at the Life Wilgers Medical Consortium in The Willows, Pretoria. They specialize in paediatric care and cover a variety of fields, they assess and treat children from the day that they are born until 18 years of age. They do admissions in Life Wilgers hospital children’s ward for in hospital treatment when the level of care is necessary in hospital. Dr Pieter Snyman & Dr Gerhard Janse van Rensburg understands that from infancy to the teen years, every child will change physically, mentally and emotionally. Through it all, they emphasizes the importance of regular checkups as well as proper care when any child is sick or hurt. They believe all children deserve the right start to a healthy life.
Their core responsibilities include:
- Providing care for newborn babies in the baby room and the neonatal ICU.
- Admission and care for critically ill children in the paediatric ICU.
- Post-operative management of paediatric surgical patients.
- We provide after-hour service for general practitioners and Life Wilgers Hospital Emergency Unit referrals.
- Routine child health checks, monitoring growth and neurodevelopment.
- Office consultations for paediatric care and chronic diseases.
- Our group practice has signed contracts with numerous medical aids such as DSP.
- We are parents ourselves.
