Dr. Carl Swanepoel qualified as an Ear, Nose and Throat Specialist from the University of Pretoria at the end of 1998 and started his professional career in private practice at the Secunda Mediclinic and Highveld Mediclinic in Secunda in 1999.
He left Secunda at the end of 2004 to establish an Ear, Nose & Throat practice in Pretoria at the Little Company of Mary Hospital (Life Groenkloof Hospital)
Apart from having a general Ear, Nose & Throat practice, he has a special interest in patients with voice problems.
He has attended several international courses, workshops and visited a few hospitals to gain more knowledge on voice problems.
He has soon realized that patients with voice problems need a professional voice team approach and has initialized the Lcm Voice Clinic.
The Lcm Voice Clinic is a multi-disciplinary team, consisting of an Ear, Nose and Throat Specialist with special interest in voice problems, a Speech Therapist with special interest in voice problems and singers, a Singing Teacher and a Neurologist.

Dr. Carl Swanepoel started in an Ear, Nose & Throat Practice in Secunda where he gained a lot of experience in Sinus problems and Sinus operations. In this time he saw and treated many patients from the surrounding mines with ear problems and industrial noise induced hearing loss.
